The Prime Minister of Malta,  Hon. Dr Lawrence Gonzi together with HON. Censu Galea, Minister for Transport and Communications and Dr Marc Bonello, chairman for the Malta Maritime Authority, paid a visit to Valletta Gateway Terminals. During the visit, it was noted that from the day when VGT took over the operations on both terminals activity in the ports went up by 150% and this is on the increase thanks to the investments currently being made by the company in terms of infrastructural works and procurement of new machinery to aid in the operations. Dr Gonzi toured the area and was given a detailed description of the operations which are typically carried out on the Terminals. To commemorate the event, Mr Peter Darley, Managing Director for VGT presented Dr Gonzi with a memento for the occasion.
