Powerboat P1, MFCC (Malta Fairs and Convention Centre) and VGT (Valletta Gateway Terminal) have reached an agreement to integrate the Boat Show within the 2008 Powerboat P1 Maltese Grand Prix of the Sea. The Malta Grand Harbour Boat Show with its fresh new identity, will increase the entertainment content of the P1 event whilst also providing an international platform for the Boat Show with potential to attract exhibitors and buyers from other parts of the world.



The Boat Show has always been an important shop window for local distributors and manufacturers of boats, boating accessories and any other sports related to the sea and underwater world. MFCC understands this and believes in the potential of this industry, hence this leap to create an International Event which can be of major benefit to Malta. Powerboat P1 Management Limited has agreed to support this event and will utilise its existing networks to increase international recognition.



The location, VGT (Valletta Gateway Terminal), is situated within the Grand Harbour, a gem in Malta’s natural heritage, with vast areas of space for ‘dry’ and on- water exhibits. The 4000 sq metre VGT warehouse will be transformed into a stunning exhibition area for off water displays whilst the waterfront and the pontoons, erected for the occasion, will provide space for boats berthed by the water’s edge.



The Malta Grand Harbour Boat Show will take place between Wednesday 6th and Sunday 10th June, at the Valletta Gateway Terminal, offering a unique experience to attendees. It is expected that the new waterside venue and a fresh innovative approach to marketing the event will capture the imagination of exhibitors, the Marine Industry and attract increased public participation.
