ONLINE BERTH APPLICATION

Following various meetings for the Design and Implementation of an online Berth Application system, VGT is proud to announce that the system will be officially launched on Monday 3rd August 2009.

 The system is aimed at enhancing communications between Shipping Agents and the company by providing information which can be kept updated 24x7. The system is fairly simple to use as shipping agents would be required to input the details related to ETA, ETD and also information about cargo being carried on the vessel.

 Once an application has been received, the system will send out an SMS to the ship agent's registered mobile number with a reference number for the application together with an email containing a copy of the application. Once the Berthing department allocate berthing space, another sms and email will be sent to the agent to update accordingly.
